I created a mural for the Chicano Humanities Art Council (CHAC) in Santa Fe, Colorado! The artistic freedom I received allowed me to explore the instinct of movement that exists in both animals and humans. Like most animals, we have an instinct to move and travel, especially when we feel like our environmental conditions are unstable.
The mural captures the landscape of both Colorado meadows and the Chihuahuan Desert, which is a desert that crosses New Mexico, Texas, and Central Mexico. The animals depicted are all Migratory animals that travel all over North America.
However, unlike these animals' ability to freely travel, humans have implemented an artificial wall meant to limit the accessibility of movement. From one side to another, the differences in environment and goals are the same; the only thing that strikes up a separation is a border.

During my senior year, my AP Drawing class partnered with a local artist to help create a mural for Conservatory Green High School.
During my senior year, my AP Drawing class partnered with a local children’s hospital to design and paint a mural for their space. Collaborating closely with the hospital, we transformed ideas into a colorful, uplifting piece to brighten the environment for patients and families.
