Frequently Asked Questions

I am happy to answer any questions you have about commissioning custom art and murals

What's the process for commissioning a custom mural?

Step 1:
Start With A Free Consultation
Requesting a free, in-person or phone consultation is the best way to get an accurate quote for your project.

During your consultation, we will:
  • Discuss any ideas you have/brainstorm imagery together
  • Review your space’s current aesthetics and your desired "look" of the new work
  • Take Photos and measurements
  • Discuss your target price range and provide a rough cost estimate (final cost determined once design is finalized.

Step 2: Design Proposal & Provide Quote
After our consultation, I will send you a contract and invoice for the design fee to begin the custom design. In addition, I will provide a quote for the cost of the entire project.

Once we have agreed on a project, I will send a contract that has 3 options for an invoice. The first option asks for a 50% deposit before I provide the completed design; the remaining 50% will be due upon project completion. The second option, I can receive 25% upon the completed consultation, 50% when I provide the final design, and 25% once the entire project is done. I can also receive 100% of the payment before I begin.

For murals, I request 2-4 weeks to turn around a design concept, and then I will send the proposed design to you along with a digital rendering of what it will look like in your space. We will adjust the design until you're completely satisfied.

For Window Paintings, I request 1 week to complete the design.  Then we will meet in person, where I will show you the proposed design and what it will look like in your windows. We will adjust the design until you're completely satisfied. It typically takes me 1 hour per 2 windows.

Step 3: We Will Schedule Your Project And Start Painting!
For any project, I will be on-site working with paint. Typically, people like to see an artist work! I can work during normal work hours, as long as the area where I’ll be painting has space. I can also paint after work hours. In other words, we will decide on a schedule that is most convenient for the client.
